Tristan
got baptized! It was awesome! We were pretty nervous on Saturday
because the baptism was supposed to start at 4 and it was 4:10 before
the family showed up! (They were just late getting a TON of food for the
reception after the baptism. We got loaded with quite a few leftovers
afterwards too!) It was cool to see Tristan bear his testimony on prayer
at the end. He said, “my favorite part about prayer is that every time I
finish doing it, I am always smiling." How often are we smiling after
conversing with out Creator and Father who loves us infinitely, so much
that he takes out the few precious minutes to listen intently to our
prayer, and then spends the rest of His time helping us see the answer?
So much to learn packed in that 9 year old boy's simple yet powerful
testimony. :)
| Tristan's Baptism!!! |
Well, last week at church, our
fearless missionary meal coordinator (I'm estimating at around 70 years
old) got up in fast and testimony meeting and lovingly rebuked the congregation for
our empty dinner calendar (don't worry, we actually get fed really well
in this ward!). Well, our investigator Randy who came to church for the
first time heard this, what did he do? Invited us over to dinner! And at
the dinner, he invited one if his friends! During the dinner, we had a
wonderful lesson! And then they both came to church this Sunday! And
they came to Tristan's baptism! And now Randy wants to get baptized on
April 3rd! :D Soo... I love dinner appointments, haha.
The Easter Initiative video is finally out! Check it out on easter.mormon.org It's a great missionary tool! Please share it with as many people as you can!! :)
