Week 29: Re-activated members, mysterious car dents, and all-you-can-eat sushi...‏

We had an interesting week. We continue to see success in our area! We are teaching some great people! Stella really wants to be baptized, but her parents are still against it. But we taught an awesome girl named Hana this week who has been looking for the right church! After teaching her the plan of Salvation, we invited her to be baptized, and she accepted! She is so sweet, and is excited to prepare for baptism on June 28th!

With the success we are seeing, we can also see Satan working hard, as he tried to destroy our car the other day. Our car was parked on the side of a street in a neighborhood, and when we came back there was a big dent and scratches on the drivers side of the car. We have no clue who did it. Luckily we can still drive the car no problem, but we can't open the front door of the drivers side, so I have to stumble and climb in and out of the passenger door to drive. Needless to say, people give me strange looks when they see my awkward attempts to rush in and out of the car every time we park.

And a little life tip I learned this week. Going to all-you-can-eat sushi 3 times in one week is too much. It destroys your stomach. Especially for a white guy like me who before thought frozen fish sticks was seafood. I'll leave it at that.

Miracle this week. Phillip is 16 years old, and his family is a less-active who we've been visiting. After constant persistence, Phillip finally saw the need to go back to church, and the last two weeks he has been there the whole time, passing the Sacrament with his suit and tie. And he is now excited to come teach with us, and even said that he wants to serve a mission! After dropping him off at his after church, we heard the sweetest words from his mouth, "See you next week!" We are so excited to see him continue coming to church and eventually bring his family back with him. Baby steps, but that's what it's all about.
